82 mm „battalion” mortar
Average battalion mortar of the classic design, consisting of three parts: the smooth-walled barrel of the needle fire piece, the base (with the mechanisms: directional and vertical, beam and recoil reducer) and back plate. For transportation fold and transferred to the saddlebag by three soldiers.
Used by Polish armed forces since the Second World War to the 90s. Designed to combat manpower and fire support, especially hidden terrain, forward observation points, to put up a smoke and making paths through minefields.
